Professor at the Faculty of International Relations at St. Petersburg University, Natalia Eryomina, commented on the statements of the Director of the Special Office of the Secretary General of NATO, Stian Jensen, about Ukraine's accession to NATO.
Iriomina, a professor of European studies at the University of St. Petersburg, told RT, "The talk is about casting as many possibilities as possible in political and public fields and circles, and monitoring reactions to them."
And she continued: "A certain idea is thrown into the middle, and then the processes of monitoring and controlling the reactions, the media, and the statements of various personalities begin, and then the extent of acceptance of the idea in the circles and the extent of differences in reactions between the various ideas presented are studied," noting that it is not the first time. in which the West resorts to such methods.”
She stressed that the aim of such statements is to monitor the various reactions, noting that the talk is not only about Russia's reaction, but rather the reaction of NATO allies in the first place.
And she stressed that none of the Western officials care about the fate and opinions of Ukrainian citizens at all, when making their decisions, pointing out that the aim of this statement is to make the Ukrainian position more flexible in terms of the problem of lands.
