Klopp reveals his position on the transfer of Mohamed Salah to the Saudi League
German Jurgen Klopp, coach of Liverpool Football Club, revealed his club's position on the possibility of selling Egyptian Mohamed Salah during the current summer transfer period.
And press reports stated, earlier, that Al-Ittihad Jeddah Club, the holder of the title of champion of the “Roshan” Saudi Professional Football League, is negotiating the inclusion of Salah this summer, and that the only obstacle is Klopp’s approval.
Speculation increased about the future of Mohamed Salah, after he appeared angry after being replaced by Klopp during the Liverpool match against Chelsea (1-1), which brought them together last Sunday, in the opening round of the English Premier League.
"The summer transfer window is still open, and we are open to signing players, if the conditions are right," Klopp said.
He added during a press conference held today, Friday, on the eve of facing his guest, Bournemouth: “From our side in Liverpool (with regard to departures), nothing will happen at all.”
Thus, Klopp has closed the door to the possibility of Salah leaving, at least this summer.
And about his relationship with Salah after what happened in the Chelsea and Liverpool match, Klopp said: "That was a week ago. He had a great training week."
And he concluded: “I hope he can turn that around on the field achieving what he wants in the Bournemouth game, besides, there is nothing else to say. Nothing else has happened since then.”
It is noteworthy that Salah seeks to open his goal record in the new season, when Liverpool hosts Bournemouth, on Saturday evening, in the second round of the English Premier League.
